available
for providing studio musician skills on recording projects at Stone Wall Studio®:
Travis
Kitchens: electric and acoustic bass guitars; lives in Groveton,
Texas; attended University of Texas, Austin and McLennan Community College
on music scholarships (tuba); played bass guitar in Waco area bands (Telford-Kitchens,
the Brazos River Rats, Gail Witt and the Brazos River Revue) while attending
Baylor University (received law degree 1977); attorney and owner of Stone
Wall Studio; currently performs on special occasions with Rayburn Hance, the
current version of the Brazos River Rats, The Stone Wall Rockers Rhythm &
Blues Revue, Emage, and The Oz Men Brothers. Musical styles: bluegrass, rock,
country, blues, rhythm & blues.
Rayburn Hance: acoustic and electric guitars, vocals; lives in Lufkin, Texas; longtime icon in the Lufkin music scene, Rayburn brings to his music a background of every style of music from Rock 'n Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Country to Contemporary Christian. His major music influences were Elvis, Grand Funk Railroad, Credence Clearwater Revival, Pink Floyd, and Dwight Yoakum. He has recorded at Dana Woods' Encore Studio in Nacogdoches and at Captive Moments Audio & Video Recording Studio in Lufkin, Texas (owned by Rayburn Hance) and at Stone Wall Studio in Groveton, Texas. He has performed with numerous bands in the East Texas area including Eclyse, TripleX, Brain Damage, and as a solo performer. Rayburn is featured on several Stone Wall Records projects, and has performed with Michael Bruce (formerly of the Alice Cooper Group), and on special occasions with the Brazos River Rats, The Stone Wall Rockers Rhythm & Blue Revue, and Emage.
Mark Langston: acoustic/flatpick guitar, banjo, mandolin; age
44; lives in Magnolia Arkansas; professional musician for over 27 years; has
performed with numerous bands in Arkansas and Missouri and opened for Willie
Nelson 1992 in Branson, Missouri with the band "Cooterfoot". Performs
on special occasions with the Brazos River Rats and has appeared on several
Stone Wall Record projects. Additional travel fee of $100.00 required.
Brandon Fowler: electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, alto
sax, percussion, vocals; lives in Livingston, Texas; professional musician
for last 8 years, has performed and recorded with The Stone Wall Rockers Rhythm
& Blues Revue, The Mocow Kid, the Groveton Marimba Band, and Stretching
Madness; has done studio work at Stone Wall Studio on heavy metal, rock, light
jazz, blues, gospel, and has appeared on several Stone Wall Records projects.
Currently recording and touring with Stretching Madness (www.stretchingmadness.com)
Don May: drums, vocals; lives in Livingston, Texas; professional musician for last fifteen years; has performed and recorded with Wicked Hand, Granite; and Rezn; has done studio work at Stone Wall Studio on heavy metal, rock, gospel, and country music. Currently recording and touring with Stretching Madness (www.stretchingmadness.com)
Will Kitchens: drums; lives in Groveton, Texas, professional musician since age 12; has performed and recorded with The Stone Wall Rockers Rhythm & Blues Revue, The Moscow Kid, Stretching Madness, Joel Stop Him, and other local bands; has done studio work at Stone Wall Studio on heavy metal, rock, gospel, blues, and country music.
Kevin Carter: fiddle, mandolin; lives in Lufkin, Texas; has
performed professionally last 15 years and has performed with Johnny Bush,
Gene Watson, Perfect Strangers, and currently playing with Chris Allen Wells.
Recorded in Nashville studios, Dana Woods' Encore Recording Studio in Nacogdoches,
several studios in Houston, and at Stone Wall Studio. Musical styles include
gospel, bluegrass, western swing, country-western and progressive country.
Jeff Harris: tenor saxophone, flute, keyboards, vocals; lives
in Nacogdoches, Texas; music major at Stephen F. Austin University, professional
musician for last nineteen years in East Texas, Las Vegas and in some 29 States
performing every conceivable type of music from country to jazz to rhythm
& blues to rock; has done extensive studio work at Rosewood Studio in
Tyler, Dana Woods Encore Recording Studio in Nacogdoches, Wayne Dyess Recording
Studio in Nederland, Real to Reel Studio in Dallas, Texas, and Stone Wall
Studio in Groveton; former bands include Tempest, Rosewood, Clarence Yarborough
and Ramson, Crazy from the Heat, Baxter-Loggins Fullhouse Band; Tom Houston
Big Band, and Tyler Jazz Band; has performed with jazz pianists Teddy Wilson
and Marian McParkland, with saxophonists Tony Campisie and John Park and drummers
Rick Latham and Paul Guerro; currently performs weekly with Jason Allen Band
and on special occasions with the Brazos River Rats and the Stone Wall Rockers
Rhythm & Blues Revue. Jeff has contributed to several Stone Wall Records
projects.
Steve Nelson: keyboards, keybass, piano, vocals; lives in Mt.
Enterprise, Texas; has been performing professionally since 1973 with the
The Directions, Big Al Downing, John Wesley Ryles, Gypsy Road, Easy Money
(Hot Springs, Arkansas), and currently with the band Cross Country out of
Nacogdoches, Texas. Steve has recorded at numerous studios including Dana
Woods' Encore Recording Studio in Nacogdoches, Piermont Studio in Shreveport,
Louisiana, Ardent Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, and Stone Wall Studio in Groveton,
Texas. Has appeared on "New Country" on the Nashville Network and
opened for numerous national acts, Tracy Lawrence, Moe Bandy, Percy Sledge,
Dr. Hook, Willie Nelson, and Neal McCoy. Appears on occasion with the Stone
Wall Rockers Rhythm & Blues Revue. Currently performs with "Easy
Money" out of the Nacogdoches area. Musical styles: pop, rock, country,
gospel, blues, rhythm & blues.
Randy Prince: guitars; lives in Lufkin, Texas; played at a variety
of clubs in Houston area in 1980s and 1990 including Gilleys, Fools Gold,
etc. Studio work for Freddie Fender and Mickey Gilley. Spent three years on
the road playing with Gene Watson (together with Kevin Carter). Teaches guitar
and runs Band Stand Music Store in Lufkin, Texas.
Bill Henley: acoustic and electric bass guitars, drums; age
40; lives in Lufkin; professional musician for last twenty years; has performed
with numerous Lufkin area bands including Eclipse, Rhino, Rhythm King, Brain
Damage, Lounge Hounds, BOFA; Bill has performed on special occasions with
Rayburn Hance and is currently playing bass the Contemporary Christian group
70x7. Musical styles: drums-anything but metal; bass guitar-country, rock,
blues, alternative; Bill can also get you a good deal on music equipment at
Sound Techs in Lufkin, Texas.
Mike Floyd: harmonica; lives in Nacogdoches, Texas; has a harmonica
for every key and knows how to use them; currently performing with "Trailer
Trash" on occasion and with The Stone Wall Rockers Rhythm and Blues Revue
and The Oz Men Brothers on a regular basis.
Chip Looney: drums, acoustic & electric guitars, vocals;
lives in Huntsville, Texas; professional musician for 23 years; prior groups
include Chuck Miller Band (folk rock - drummer) , Gethsemane (Christian new
wave - guitar; opened for Mark Heard and Randy Stonehill at the First KSBJ
Rock of Love Concert; recorded at Rivendale Recorders in Houston); Mt. Zion
Band (Christian heavy metal - vocals, bass & guitars, recorded at Fourth
Creation, Conroe, opened for Vision); Electric Rangers (Christian blues -
guitar & vocals, recorded at Rivendale Recorders, Houston, won National
Association Christian Artists and Songwriters (NACAS) hard rock metal band
1994); has performed with the Stone Wall Rockers Rhythm & Blues Revue
on guitars and vocals; currently praise & worship leader at Huntsville
First United Methodist Church; operates One Music Square music store in Huntsville,
Texas and will be glad to talk with you about your music equipment needs.

Standard Studio Musician Fees*
1. $35.00 per song
2. There is a minimum fee of $100.00 per day per session per musician.
3. Payment is to be made directly to the studio musicians unless otherwise
agreed upon.
(i.e. studio musicians are independent contractors and not employees of Stone
Wall Studio®.)
